i cross the forest and the fields
i see myself from the above
a steady walk while it's creeping
down my spine

i wish i didn't know the truth
but this is something i must do
a final sacrifice of myself

at the age of seventeen

i see the badger and the squirrel

the deed to be done

there's a tree upon the hill
it grows full of leave of flames

now is the time to make the change
so i let the flood of rage
run my veins to disgorge
in a focused will

the smell of sulphur from my hands
i've burned the boats of yesterday
not even the rumbling can drown
out the sound of the cries

now everything is crystal clear
no knife has cut me like this fear
i am sinking to be risen

no way i will let this
slip out of my hands
when i have come this far

This is an excellently crafted album, there are some great bass and synth sounds along with some excellent piano and guitar riffs. Odd Common blends these different elements into songs with a subtle movement and great layering of sounds. There's a very modern feel to the production but equally an excellent 80s synth vibe too.
